Stardust by Neil Gaiman

Finally, finally managed to read this book. And I loved it. Just like how I loved The Graveyard Book, which was the first Neil Gaiman book I read. 

Well, I have to admit I was a bit bored during the first part of the story,  backtracking to Dunstan's side of the story and how he attained his "Heart's Desire". I remember thinking once I got to the part where Dunstan and Una were secretly meeting, and I was like... What the heck am I reading here? XD

Of course, it got better once we get to Tristran's part. I loved how there is our world; our hustling, bustling, and noisy side of the world, and there is a fairy-like magical world on the other side of a Wall with witches, talking furry animals and falling stars that look like humans XD

Overall, I would say I love this book. It's pretty short, sweet, and very entertaining (what genre is this, by the way?) And I think this book actually has a movie adaptation? Why do I feel like I've seen a trailer of it before on Youtube? Maybe I could try to see if I can find it anywhere for download.

And so, when my financial status looks to be more stable (actually it's not that bad since I'm very careful with my money, but still... I'm practically unemployed right now) - I will probably buy a few more Gaiman books. His book with Terry Pratchet, Good Omens looks very tempting indeed. But really, I bought too many books lately, and I don't have that much free time to read them all, so I have to keep a check on my purchases :P
 

Save me from this torture

I'm supposed to be updating my dad's company website right now. Oh yeah, forgot to mention. I'm working with my dad or the time being until I get a new job.

But for some reason, the site seems to be down, and I can't do anything to it at the moment. So I'm compiling the infos and putting them in my LJ instead. Set to Private, of course, because I need to use the HTML function to see how the basic design is gonna look like so I can't just paste it on to the site when it's back up and running.

Of course, I also have to contend with this headache and flu I'm having all of a sudden. As if being woken up every few hours last night isn't enough to add to my misery.

I'm going back home to lie down and probably sleep this off for a bit during lunch.
