Beware: Long update post is long

mierinOh dear... I just finished a watercolor painting to be submitted during my Fine Arts class tomorrow. Have I mentioned how much I suck at drawing? Apparently I suck at this too. It turned out kinda fine before I started adding spectacles to the portrait, and then it was totally ruined, cause I'm not good with the detailed parts. Oh well...
Last Saturday I hung out with a few friends at Mutiara Damansara where we had dinner together. It's been a while since we could all meet together, since some of them had already started working. Ended up at the nearby Cineleisure to watch The Ugly Truth, which is hilarious, but not what I had imagined before I watched it.
First of all, Katherine Heigl was funny, as usual. Gerard Butler was looking scruffy, but kinda hot too. Plot-wise, the story is pretty much a cliche romantic comedy, most of it was focused on those two I mentioned just now, but there are certain points/characters that I wished could have been better explored than just having two or three lines. I was kinda surprised at the amount of sex talk and sexual humour in there as well. Probably to cover up for the lack of new material and the somewhat predictable storyline.
Okay, the vibrating underwear scene was really funny. So were some other scenes in the movie. But personally, I thought it was decent, but the storyline wasn't very engaging, and there is just nothing new that I haven't seen in romantic comedies (except maybe the sexual humour). But it was fun nonetheless, especially if you don't even remember when was the last you even went to the cinema like me :P
By the way, CLAMP fans, have you heard? Apparently there is big news about xxxHoLic.
Looks like in conjunction with Tsubasa nearing the end of its serialization, xxxHoLic is getting a new series as well. Not confirmed yet, but seems like it will be called xxHOLiC・籠 (Rou = Cage). The news link HERE (warning, spoilers ahoy).

Hmm, looking forward to older!Doumeki and Himawari and Kohane. Hopefully timefreeze!Watanuki is still the same lovable Watanuki that I have come to love all these years.
Ooohhh!! I almost forgot to put this in. I only just found out that Chapter 1 of The Gathering Storm (the upcoming Book 12 of the Wheel of Time series) was posted at TOR's website HERE. Unfortunately, you have to register in order to read it, but it's free. I've registered, but I don't have the luxury of time to read it right now. I've read a bit of the early parts though, looks kinda good. Looking forward to the release this end of October /hyper XD
Eh.. this entry went longer than I expected. But I guess it's good, since I want to focus on uni work right now. I've been procrastinating too much lately. We have a one week break next week, and immediately after that will be my mid-semester tests. So I'd better focus and start studying ._.
